I am a CPA who graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in accounting from the University of Florida in 1991. I left the work force over 13 years ago to home educate my two children. The techniques I use in this class are the same ones I used with my children to prepare them for the SAT and the PSAT. My son’s scores increased by 400 points from his first SAT practice test score to the end of one semester of prep when he took the SAT. He scored an 800 in math and is a National Merit Scholar (which is based on your 11th grade PSAT score). He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with high honors May, 2015. Both he and my daughter have scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT. My daughter is a sophomore at Georgia Tech this year. Students who apply themselves both in class and to their homework can expect to see significant score increases.
After I helped my son prepare for the SAT, I designed a SAT class for our home school cooperative. I enjoyed teaching SAT prep to the home school students and decided to offer classes for any student (public, private or home schooled) in my home. I have organized the information into a course; taken most of the practice tests myself; and can relay my understanding of the material to students of any level. I am both willing and eager to meet with your students and help them work through the same process I did with my own children. Your student will excel in a class setting with assigned homework and accountability.
Similar SAT Prep classes have significant price barriers for most families. I feel very deeply that everyone should have access to an excellent SAT/ACT Prep course. My courses are offered at an affordable price while offering the quality that can only be obtained through years of experience and a genuine desire to see my students excel. Not to mention, I really LOVE teaching this class and helping students improve their SAT/ACT scores!
I have been leading SAT Prep classes from my home for over five years.
